Bars
Bars – The Cellar
Licensed for 45 persons with a small intimate bar, the cellar has become a great hangout for locals escaping the busy hotel overhead.
With a warm and intimately cosy feel that only an old cellar can create, it has been host to many great evenings and is available for private occasions such birthdays, anniversaries or family get-togethers.
Unique features of the cellar include, the old well sunken through the floor and the archway from the original tunnel. This once led from the cellar to the shores of the nearby Swan River to enable stores to be brought from barges - or perhaps to solve the problem of grog smuggling.
The beams are herringbone strutted, and held in position with hand made nails - rather like the old fashioned horse shoe nails. The old brick walls, jarrah fixtures and brick floors resonate with the hotels history.
Bars – The Garden
Here at the Rose & Crown we have one of the BEST beer gardens in Australia.
One of the attractions of the Rose & Crown is the lovely historic garden. Established when the hotel was built. The garden offers a stunning venue for a fully serviced meal or drink. Our magnificent roses are said to be the first planted in WA and a very rare and beautiful dragon tree are among some of the gardens treasures.
Our outside decking area overlooks the rear garden and stables. This new addition to the garden space, soon to have it's own bar and water feature, will definitely relax and impress you and your guests. With these spectacular gardens we offer entertainment for our guests to enjoy a beer or two.
Posh Convict Bar
The most recent addition to the Rose & Crown the Posh Convict bar has quickly become a favourite for locals and those new to the hotel. A fireplace, comfort lounge chairs and low tables invite a relaxed atmosphere. The extensive wine list boasts many names from the Swan Valley region and compliments the more sophisticated bar menu.
